Calling All Artists!
Bring our dragons to life and be part of something extraordinary!
Compton Care is proud to launch Trail of the Dragons – a spectacular nine-week public art event featuring 30 large-scale dragon sculptures that will take over the streets of Wolverhampton in summer 2027.
We’re inviting local and national artists, whether established or just starting out, to submit inspired designs that will ignite imagination, celebrate creativity, and showcase the incredible artistic talent across our region and beyond, while also raising awareness and vital funds for the charity.
Each sculpture will be transformed into a unique work of art, standing loud and proud across the city. These dragons will represent Compton Care’s spirit, our mission, and the communities we have supported since 1982. We can’t wait to see them take flight!

Why Get Involved?
By taking part, you will be contributing to a high-profile cultural initiative that will:

Your artwork will form part of a nine-week citywide event that encourages residents to rediscover hidden gems and invites visitors to become ’tourists in their own city’. Trail of the Dragons will support Wolverhampton’s ongoing cultural, tourism, and regeneration ambitions – while showcasing the power of creativity to bring people together.
